So, this is a swap I’m working on – the layers aren’t attached yet – cuz I’m still not sure it’s right. It’s a valentine theme and I wanted to use Iliana Crouse’s flower – So what do you think? Is it okay? What does it need? Is it too much, too little? I’m stumped.
Stamps: Very Vintage Wheel, Well Scripted
Inks: Rose Red, Old Olive, Versamark
Papers: Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sending Love Brads, Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon, Embossing folder, Lg Flower Punch, 2 step bird punch, white embossing powder, wide oval punch
Techniques: Embossing
I like it but that butterfly in the middle is jumping out at me as more heavily inked and kind of doesn’t fit. KWIM?
Also, on the ivory, what would it look like if it was just embossed? I’m a clean and simple stamper…..just curious…..
Still a great card!!
thanks for pointing out the bfly – you’re right – I either need to watch where it ends up when I roll or cover it with the flower. . . . .
You can just put the leaves over him a bit! 🙂 I like your color combo!
Love the color combo. How about a little sponging around the ivory and popping out the butterfly in a different spot?
Oh, I think it’s lovely! I’d be thrilled to get it in a swap!
ditto Amy! love it
See I want the butterfly intentionally in the top right corner 🙂 It is beautiful either way…Don’t fret over it!
I like it – especially the embossing of the ribbon. I think if it were me, I’d probably add a thin (1/8 inch) border between the two card pieces (I love layers).
I love it and would love to get one in a swap! Love the ribbon! I so got to try that out.
I might try doing the Vintage wheel (which I love BTW!) in Mellow Moss for a more subdued effect. I think it would make the flower pop a bit more.
I love the layout, the flower, the embossed ribbon! Great idea.
