Angie, work on the Workshop in a Bag. I just finished the demo projects and really enjoyed using Easy Events. There's the hostess card, the hostess gift, and the demo card. Easy peasy and cute.

This Workshop in a Bag concept is something I'd probably use with any new recruits I have. Create 3 little projects, cut the cardstock and accessories - using stuff from their starter kit - package them up and give to her/him for their second workshop. I'd do the first one.

I'm gonna go get some dinner. Brunch was a long time ago and I'm hungry. On to Make and Takes when I get back!

Who's staying up late with me?

I know I'll be up late because the only thing I've done on my M&Ts is cut out the fabric to cover the lid. Oiy! Maybe I should sit with total strangers at my next convention M&T session and I might get something done!

Good thought Trina! I did think about doing this, but I have a girl who really wants to sign up and I was hoping to give it to her. I hope she will bite before the end of the month, the $99 special has her and she was interested before, but her hubby is not sure about the $$ and what she is committing to since apparently she has had some bad adventures which cost them lots with direct sales before, maxing out 2 credit cards for stuff she wanted herself and not really doing any sales has him turned off from the whole idea.

I could at least take it out and look at it, though.

I did get a cute card designed for Turtle & Co. when I get the set this week, I will post a pic. I will probably end up using it for my other swap.

Nah, sorry we can't let you do that! ;) Besides, are there many SU demos who would be strangers to us? I'm sure there are a few snobby ones, but in my experience they are pretty few and far in between. So, you still wouldn't get much done!!

Agree!! And I plan to stay up fairly late too!

Fingers crossed for you/her Angie. I think there are other ventures that allow more maxing out of credit cards than ours aren't there? Like ones in which they have to keep product on hand I mean.

Exactly the type Rhonda! From his report, CM could restock their whole warehouse from her craft room!

And she had to get a couple of everything just in case someone wanted it!

I'm here too and about to work on Christmas cards. Sorry about your Kayak Pammy and hehehe on Rhonda taking it and on it being too hot to be a thief. lol Wahoooo on your recruit Paula!! Did you get one too Rhonda? Couldn't quite tell from your post about being too cool for school, but it sounded like it. And Trina.....that wouldn't work, if they were strangers when you sat down, they wouldn't be in a few minutes and you still wouldn't get anything done!

No good ideas here for that, but I am happy to punch them and mail them to ya if that would help.

I'm here. Today's my anniversary and my husband is home for the first time in 12 years! We've been married 17 years today! He runs a week long camp for 3rd-9th graders and it always is the last week July. Oh well! We've been spending the day together. I need to finish my Christmas cards for July and I have signed up for several swaps. I have ideas for them too. I just need to sit down and work on them!

Sorry to hear about the kayak! What a stinky way to begin the day!

You gals are good! I only got my wedding card done. Now that I am home from the wedding I am too tired to stamp. I think I'll read instead!

I used the fancy flower punch, and distressed/crumpled it and it worked pretty well.
