SAAC06 Swiss Dots & Butterflies

My Uncle passed away so I made this for my Aunt. Will do some in other colors for my cousins. It would also make a great birthday card.

Don’t know if she was the creator or not, but I found the idea for the partial cuttlebuggin on this website.
http://indigoinklings.blogspot.com/2008/05/tips-for-diagonal-cuttling.html She shows a diagonal too but that would have made my brain explode. lol The wide oval is too big and I don’t have it yet, but am going to try this again and see if I can get Jan Tink’s crimped scalloped ruffly thing to go around the large oval and use that for my sentiment.

I don’t line things up well, so when I put the two brads through the butterfly, I wasn’t sure how to get my holes punched in the white exactly where I wanted them for the butterflies. Then I spied my stazon black sitting there. So I held it stable so the brads wouldn’t move, tapped the brad prongs down into my stazon, then when I saw the angle I wanted on my card, I tapped the brad prongs down on my card. Then I poked my hole where the black dots were. Yes it was a proud moment!! lol

Stamps: thoughts and prayers. Lovely lilac prints dsp, cryogen white and elegant eggplant CS. Swiss dots cb folder. Designer label punch, gold brads, scor-pal.

What do you think?
