My First Cake…

and it was fun! While this little puppy takes some time, it is well worth it in the end. Since this cake was finished at 3:00 today and already out the door, I’m thinking of making a half of a cake and leaving it on display in my craft room.

The blossoms are from Delight in Life, but the branches are from Best Blossoms, two of the best SAB sets SU! has ever had…in my humble opinion.

There’s glitter in the center of each blossom, but that doesn’t really show up in the picture. The candies lying around are what was placed inside each slice.

Stamps: Delight in Life, Best Blossoms, Lovely Labels (for the peppermint patties)
Inks: Regal Red, Certainly Celery
Papers: Regal Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Raspberry Tart DSP

 1. Wow!! So much work in cutting that all out, but so worth it (since I just get to look and didn’t have to do it). lol You did a fantastic job. I finally let go of my best blossoms, but I still have my delight in life. Love it!

 2. The pattern came from the SU! website. It’s in the May 2007 issue of Stampin’ Success. Thanks so much for the comment!
