Delightfully Decorated Candle

This is my first attempt at stamping on candles. I followed Michelle Wedermeyer’s tutorial, which can be found here: http://www.michellesrubberroom.com/2008/11/stamping-on-candles.html. I used the new Delightful Decorations stamp set on this candle.

I stamped the images in old olive and Encore gold ink. The small snowflakes are old olive and real red. I used my real red and old olive markers to make the string for the ornaments. For the specifics on how to get the images on the candle, check out the tutorial.

After I had all of the images on the candle, I felt like it needed something more. So, I added the gold brads. I just pushed them into the centers of the snowflakes. If you have a hard time getting them to push in, you could try using your heat tool to soften the wax a bit before pushing in the brad. I added the ribbon around the bottom of the candle as the final touch.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Great job!! Thanks for the link. I’ve done several candles but never realized tissue paper had two sides til I watched her video.
