Charming 18th Birthday

My cousin is turning 18 next week, and this is the card that I made for her. This card uses last week’s Fall to Layout- FTL57. Here is a link to the Clean & Simple Stamping blog: http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/2009/08/fall-to-layout-57.html.

I used the new set Charming from the Holiday Mini Catalog! I know it was made to go with the Simply Adorned jewelry, but I thought the set could be used to make some lovely cards. I stamped the text image on vanilla cs with curry ink, then I stamped the medallion over the text with rich razzleberry ink. I did this 8 times, and then punched the images out with the 1-1/4" square punch. I layered these over a 1-3/8" soft suede square. I used the large oval punch, scalloped oval punch, and the Oval All stamp set to create the sentiment piece in the center. The main panel of the card front is very vanilla. I used my Big Shot and the SU! Backgrounds 1 Texturz plate on the panel, then I sponged crushed curry ink on it. I used the rock-n-roll technique on the butterfly, cut it out, then adhered it to the sentiment piece. I used glued dots and snail to adhere the small squares to the main panel.

Thanks for looking at my first upload!
